Who, What, Where, Why, When
Mission Statement:
Reaching out, touching, and connecting lives through the love of Jesus Christ.
Who We Are … CALLED BY GOD
The Presbyterian Church of Big Bear welcomes you! Called by God, we dedicate our lives and ministry of Jesus Christ. The Lord brought us together February 7, 1988, as a handful of faithful believers joyfully gathering for worship and praise in a Big Bear living room. Since that humble beginning we have grown.
Each step of the way – from our move to the Presbyterian Conference Center, to our chartering as a congregation in October 1992, and to our present location in the Village of Big Bear Lake – God has blessed us without ceasing. For all this and much more we praise and thank the Lord.
What We Are …. TO UNITE IN MISSION
As a church, we comprise a faith community where there are not strangers and room for all. Through fellowship, worship, prayers, and study we seek to learn how to be the people of God and agents of reconciliation. We believe that Christ’s hands are our hands and through a variety of gifts, we are called to serve as the Body of Christ.

God’s grace in Jesus Christ sets us free to accept ourselves and live as sons and daughters of God.
The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the unfailing guide for our faith and Christian living.
The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in and with us and empowers people to have saving faith and to grow as a disciple.
Believers receive spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit to enjoy and to use in building up and expanding the Kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ is head of the church whose boundaries are beyond time and space.
We are part of the worldwide Church of Jesus Christ which has been entrusted with the Good News of salvation and reconciliation.
Following Jesus Christ, together with ministry of the Holy Spirit, leads a person to develop Christ-like attitudes, actions, and lifestyle.
Living as a Christian gives us joy, love, power and freedom in ways we can find nowhere else.
